What a beautiful day! Don Hess came by for a visit after lunch and we took a walk outside. I wish summer would stay here forever... (unfortunately this is it--tomorrow is the first day of fall!)

Hi guys - I still check in on you every day! Love to see the updates and photos - so good you could get out and enjoy the beautiful day - it was so so lovely! Know that we continue to pray for you and think of you!!! smiles, dawn and the gang (most are sleeping - Aaron is still up working on finals - last week of this term - yeah!)
Sam told us about your accident and we are so glad to see that you are making great strides towards recovery. We are praying for you and your family (it looks like you have a GREAT one!) and know that God will supply all your needs.
Uncle Carl,,, glad to see you getting out and enjoying the weather, was so good to talk to you the other day even for a brief minute. looking forward to longer conversations soon. sorry I have not checked the sight lately as hurricane IKE decided that we could do without power for a while, as of today we are still without power but thankful for a home that is still standing and gas to cook by the weather was great for a while but as since warmed up, but another cool front on thursday and hopeful for schools to start again.
Uncle Carl...I must say you are looking rather handsome these days! Sorry we haven't stopped by...life is busy with homeschooling, preschool, and baby #4 growing inside! We think of you every day and continue to pray!
Carl and Fan We read with eagerness, each day's entry in your journal. I heard someone (who reads your updates) say that your life and your reaction to this accident has spoken volumes to them. God Moves In Mysterious Ways. Good can come from bad. We rejoice with you, that Our Father is looking down on you with Love!! We wish His Peace and His Presence with you during this difficult time. Our Thoughts and Prayers are with you, Your former neighbors, (remember those days in Little Boston?) and your cousins. Pearl and Mel Lapp
I am wife to a very special man and mom to 4 children ranging in age from 17-25. My oldest daughter and her husband gave us our first grandchild in 2009, a little girl who fills a spot in my heart I didn't even know was empty! I hope to use this blog as a journal of sorts, probably about our new little love, but also an outlet for my "musings". I realized last year after I started blogging about my husband's motorcycle accident(see www.carlsmucker.blogspot.com), how much I love putting my thoughts into words. Thanks for taking time to join me here!
